Roundabout was a postal drawing project I ran from 2006-2008
Rules of the Game
To start:
You'll get: a list of addresses and a copy of the rules.
You have to do a drawing or painting, leaving lots of space on the paper (any size or type of paper is OK, but remember it will have to go in the post as a normal letter)
You then tear the first address of the top of the list and stick it on the front of the envelope. Post it.
When you receive a new image and list in the post you need to:
•Add something to the image; the only rule is that you not allowed to obliterate anyone else's work. Pattern, collage, observational drawing, abstract things, overlapping and colouring in are all OK.
•Take your address of the front of the envelope (or scribble over it), tear the next address of the top of the list and add that to the envelope. (the main thing is that no one knows where the image they receive comes from)
•Post the image and the remainder of the list to the next address within 7 days of receiving it.
Images can be of whatever you like, just respond to the image you receive, what do you think needs adding?
You don't have to send the images in the post, if you live near someone then feel free to post it through their door, but they are not allowed to know where it's come from!!!!!
